pink and blue Wayside Bondi

Im proud to be one of the Ambassadors for Wayside – An organisation that helps those in less fortunate situations

With community services centres in both Kings Cross and Bondi, youth space and outreach service, mental health program, twilight team, community cafe and our Aboriginal project are all designed to ensure the most disadvantaged members of our community have access to essential health, welfare, social and recreational services.

Each year, thousands of people visit Wayside for assistance in gaining equitable access to essential health, welfare and related services. In the last year alone, Wayside provided, amongst other services, 7,680 community meals, 6,776 changes of clothing, 14,100 hours of support to people with a long-term mental health issue, and 1,991 social and recreational activities for the whole community to participate in. People purchased over 86,100 low cost items in our café, there were 6,699 instances of support for youth at risk and8,703 members of the community visited Wayside to learn more about our work.

“Palo Santo”

It’s no secret I’m somewhat a (modern) hippy – I practice daily meditation with The Broadplace I’m attracted to candles, crystals and burning sage. Well my latest discovery thanks to my friends at Totem Road is “palo santo”  these lovely timber sticks from Peru can be burnt to promote good luck, clean your house of bad energy and enhance relaxation and best of all they smell beautiful

Hotel Ravesis Bondi

You have gotta love a pastel makeover where the new cocktails match the decor right! I have been crushing on the new (ok not sooo new) Hotel Ravesis makeover, its opposite Bondi Beach so there are awesome ocean views, the colourful interior upstairs by Corina Hicks is fun without being too in your face, the food and cocktails are superb! and of course him loving the splashes of Peach – the perfect Instagram backdrop!

behind the scenes bondi wash

I couldn’t help but post this super cute picture of Belinda ( Bondi Wash Founder) and Sophia from a recent shoot. I love working on this local brand ( I have from the start) It’s not often as a stylist that you get to work with a brand from its beginning, from the start I have worked Belinda to create the brands unique visual identity and with each new shoot we as a team push the continue to create fresh beautiful images (thanks to the amazing native botanicals) that reflect the brands message, style and core values.

Another perk of working open this great brand is that I love and actually use all their products as does Sophia!

ikea new Stockholm collection

When Ikea gets it right they get it very right

Im loving the brand new Stockholm collection that has just landed in store now, its easy, simple, relaxed and not complicated. I’m loving the cosy velvet, the blue glassware and the light timber and rattan, it’s scandi ( sorry can we not use this word unless its actually scandi! such an over used word) but feels perfect for an Aussie home too!

The trick is to not fill your place with things from just the one store, its all about creating a mix, tricky with this collection as I have my eye on lots! The Rattan Cabinet is totally a stand out for me!

west elm – new modern

Here’s a look at the new West Elm 2017 collection “The new Modern” Johanna Uurasjarvi, West Elm’s new Creative Director, is bringing a fresh vision to the brand, refining the brand’s design philosophy and its very definition of “modern”. While West Elm has always been about modern style, they’re evolving along with the way we live today. The collection still has element of mid century influences and is colourful but refined, causal but polished, the evolution feels slightly more sophisticated, the collection is in store and online now (in Australia)
