“dialogue with horses” pampa / victoria aguirre

img_0954I LOVE the way Victoria from Pampa captures these stunning images of horses, what I also love is the unique story behind these images. and how they are captured, its never a once of meeting, she has long standing connections to these horses that she spends time with. Photographed in her Home Land Argentina. She not only captures their image but their unique characteristic, personality and spirit. Victoria was given a female foal when she was born as a gift, they were raised together and became the best of friends this was the beginning of her Dialogue with horses – what a beautiful story!

Pop in and take a look at her beautiful works, she is an ultimate story teller with her camera

“Dialogue with Horses” opens tonight 6pm at The School 85 Dunning Ave Rosebery

the farm byron bay and pampa

Recently I have spent a lot of time in Byron Bay. To be honest I love this beautiful magical place. It’s a special part of Australia where beautiful beaches meet beautiful bushland, it is also is filled with many fabulous places to visit – to shop, eat swim, drink see, do and more. It is also home to some awesome creative types that I have been lucky to meet. Everyone must be familiar with The Farm Byron Bay (definitely worth a visit) by now. Victoria Aguirre one part of Pampa known for their awesome covetable bespoke rugs and textiles and her awesome photography recently captured some new images.

Know previously for her images of Horses from her home country (she is originally from Argentina) I met Her and the other hand of Pampa on a visit to Byron, she has the most wonderful accent which you could listen to all day! this series is from her new home, the first she has shot and exhibited here in Australia, called “Highlanders in the Hinterland”  the exhibition is a study of these beautiful hairy creatures the Scottish Highland Cattle that call The Farm Byron Bay home.

The exhibition is on at The Farm Byron Bay until 31st January if you’re lucky enough to be in the area

pampa horses

Ok so I have been admiring these for a little too long so – i finally have gotten around to sharing with you. For me their is something magical about the graceful and strong animal that is the horse. Maybe its a fondness from childhood we grew up with them on our walls (paintings and over our back fence) These images from Pampa capture this fine animal at their magnificent best

Pampa is a homegrown business based in Bangalow, Northern NSW. A collaboration between two photographers – one from Argentina, the other from Australia – Pampa represents the coming-together of two worlds, two visions and two cultures. Aiming to explore art, preserve heritage and empower culture, Pampa explore some of Argentina’s most remote indigenous communities, bringing home with them the finest rugs and cushions that have been handwoven using traditional Argentinian materials, designs and techniques. From their home to yours, Pampa textiles are fairly traded with some of Argentina’s most talented artists
