gift giving

“Every year I like to wrap my presents in a new way. This year I’ve kept the paper simple and added decorations and leaves. I’m also loving personalisation, it’s the perfect finishing touch to your gifts.”

“Being a stylist I never have just a traditional tree. This year I have a found frond and decorated it with beautiful native banksias which makes for a modern Australian tree. I still decorate it as you would a normal Christmas tree with a few of my favourite decorations.”

christmas cheers

Tis the season! heres a little bar set up (with some of my favourites) that I created for Country Road

“A signature drink is my secret to a great soiree. For the festive season I have made a twist on a classic and created a Pomegranate Negroni.”

Pomegranate Negroni

I had this drink once at a party and have perfected it at home it’s  as easy as this…

Equal parts, Campari, Brookies dry Gin, Regal Rogue Rosso and a splash of pomegranate juice to your liking on a large ice cube  serve in a low glass with a wedge of orange and a pineapple leaf to garnish – cheers!

Christmas table Country Road style

Im so trilled ton share these images I created for this Christmas… simple, natural, creative and distinctly my style.

“When decorating my home for Christmas I always like to stay true to my own style. Living in Byron Bay, I am a nature lover and inspired by both the Australian bush and ocean. My style for decorating and entertaining is relaxed and laid-back but always creative. The colour palette includes neutrals, deep greens and metallic gold accents. Banksia are my favourite native flower and perfect for an Australian Christmas. They look great on the table, in a vase or decorating a wreath. I love to mix old with new, I’m a collector but more and more it’s about the edit, often not adding but subtracting.”

“I like the table to be relaxed and not over styled. I start with a table cloth and smart napery then layer different pieces for interest. In this case I’ve opted for gold cutlery for a festive feel and used native foliage as a centrepiece. I love to make each place setting unique by mixing decorations with natural elements such as leaves and flowers.”
